Star behind the Champion

(Left to right is OC Champion George Schreyer, Terry and George's dance instructor Nataliya from the Ukraine)

Looking back as a competitive bodybuilder, the source of motivation required astounds me more today than ever. Who, how and what kept me intensely focused on such a rigid and many times brutal exercise track? One of my greatest cheerleaders was my enchanting Mom who sadly died at age 55, paradoxically of poor health, no exercising.

Through all our strides and struggles of competition or simply living life, there is always that one individual, at the core of their soul, who has greater strength and tenacity than even the competitor on the stage. For OC‘s “Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars” gala dance competition, my longtime client Terry Schreyer was the picturesque muse behind the star curtain. Terry enlightened many lives for years to come, as she lead her husband George and an entire community (one third of the audience, about 150 people) to a night of fame and contributions to support the kids of Assistance League of Newport-Mesa.

ABC 7’s entertainment reporter George Pennacchio, PBS SoCal’s Ed Arnold, and our Orange County local starlet Mindy Stearns emceed the event. George Schreyer, a successful retired businessman and philanthropist, at 70-something captured the hearts of all, taking Best Male Dancer honors and Fan Favorite with the most votes. Find out more about George here: http://tiny.ly/aZQX. He is a fascinating man; though he doesn’t always listen to my fitness advise. Shhh! Terry wins Fitness Intuitive.com “Fav n’ Fabulous Client” award.

Thanks again and again Terry for all your time and dedication! Kudos George because you're always unforgettable.

Who is there for you? Who’s your “Star behind the Champion”? Tell us about them. We’ll even listen to a bit about your talents too.
